Captain Jim's Wine Cruises on Cayuga Lake

Captain Jim's Wine and Lunch Cruises online booking system is ready to take your reservations today! We will begin running Wine and Lunch Cruises on May 10th, 2025 and the season will end on September 30th, 2025.

Captain Jim's Wine and Lunch Cruises are available Thursday-Monday, by reservation only. We are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. *Coast Guard Regulations Limit the capacity of my boat to six customers. (Does Not include the Captain.) (607) 280-4644

Are you planning a vacation to the Finger Lakes Region of New York State this summer? Do you like wine, boating, and the outdoors?

Come on a Wine and Lunch Cruise on Cayuga Lake, aboard Captain Jim’s Wine and Lunch Cruises! Passengers will Enjoy a Wine and Lunch Cruise aboard our spacious and comfortable, Sanpan Pontoon Boat to Three Wineries, and enjoy breath taking views of Cayuga Lake and spectacular scenery along the way.

You can choose three of these wineries:

*Sheldrake Point Winery to the South.*

*Long Point Winery across the Lake in Aurora, NY.*


*Thirsty Owl Wine Company on the West Side.*

*Goose Watch Winery to the North. Goose Watch makes for a good last stop of the day since it's only a few minutes from Dean's Cove boat Launch. You'll have about 1 hour for tastings at each Winery. That should get us back to Dean's Cove about 4:30 PM.*

All Cruises depart from Dean's Cove State Boat Launch promptly at 10:30 AM and the cost is $110 per seat.*The cost of tastings and lunch are not included in the price of your Cruise*. Reservation only! Cruises leave the launch site at 10:30 AM and returns about 4:30PM. Please arrive at 10:10 AM so we can leave on time.

Captain Jim's Private Wine and Lunch Cruises Are you looking for a more personal experience? Maybe you want a more private day, with just you and yours on the boat. "Captain Jim's Private Wine and Lunch Cruises" is for you. Up to 6 customers can enjoy the Private Wine and Lunch Cruise, and not share the boat with other customers. You'll have the boat to yourselves for that special day. Departure is promptly at 10:30 AM, and will return to Dean's Cove about 4:30PM. The cost is $660. *Subject to availability*

In the event of unsafe weather conditions, the Captain may cancel the cruise. Passengers may then be offered an opportunity to reschedule their cruise or receive of refund of their deposit. *Once we've visited two wineries, no refunds will be offered.*

Captain Jim Mead is a US Coast Guard Licensed charter boat Captain with 35+ years experience boating in the Finger Lakes.

*Customer requested cancellations within seven days of their scheduled Wine and Lunch Cruise will Not receive refunds. You will instead be issued a Gift card for Captain Jim's Wine and Lunch Cruises that the customer can use to book a Wine Cruise of equal value on another date.*

*Refunds will NOT be given for any no shows the day of your Wine and Lunch Cruise. This includes those who book more seats than people show up for*

Helpful tips when booking a Wine Cruise:

Passengers need to be physically able to step down into the boat and step up onto the docks. These differences in height may be difficult for some people. There is also some walking involved from the docks to a couple of the Wineries. Since you will be out on the lake, please bring sunscreen, and bring clothing for changing weather conditions, including rain gear. Captain Jim's Boat has canvas tops that can cover the boat, so we don't need to cancel Cruises for occasional rain showers. You may also bring snacks and beverages to drink aboard the boat, which includes wine purchased while on your cruise. No children or pets please. Coolers are limited to the size a person can carry in one hand. Large Coolers will NOT be permitted on the boat. *The cost of tastings are not included in the price of your Cruise.*
